Pleurotus Ostreatus
on malt + yeast agar
Inoculated with a piece of agar with live mycelium.
Incubated @ 25 Celsius for 7 Days
on malt + yeast agar (50% nutrient concentration)
Inoculated with a piece of agar with live mycelium.
Incubated @ 25 Celsius for 7 Days
Panellus Stipticus
on malt + yeast agar
Inoculated with a piece of agar with live mycelium.
Incubated @ 25 Celsius for 14 Days
Bioluminescence of another 14 day old sample:
Panellus Florida
on potato dextrose yeast agar
Inoculated with a piece of agar with live mycelium.
Incubated @ 25 Celsius for 7 Days
Another sample on malt yeast agar grew to fill the 100mm petri dish in 7 days:
Armillaria Gallica
Mature sample:
on Potato Dextrose agar
Inoculated with a approx. 5mm long piece of the rhizomorphic mycelium cut from the above shown mature sample of A. Gallica
Incubated @ 25 Celsius
6 days: The section of brown rhizomorph has sprouted white more “conventional” looking mycelium in all directions.
10 days:
The growth of the white mycelium outward from the brown rhizomorph has continued outward.
From the bottom side there is still no sign of any new growth of the brown, longer rhizomorphs which can be seen in the mature sample.

Lion’s Mane
Mature sample:
Lion’s Mane mycelium grows in an interesting fluffy, patchy manner. Rhizomorphs spread out and then release clumps of fluffy mycelium which eventually grow together.
This species produces mushroom primordia ( a.k.a. “pins”, which will eventually grow into mature mushrooms ) quite easily on agar.
On potato dextrose Agar
Inoculated with a piece of agar with live mycelium.
Incubated @ 25 Celsius for 7 Days:
Growth proceeds slowly with this species.

Trametes Versicolor
On malt + yeast agar
Inoculated with a piece of agar with live mycelium.
Incubated @ 25 Celsius for 5 Days:
Pestalotiopsis Microspora
On malt + yeast agar
Inoculated with a piece of agar with live mycelium.
Incubated @ 25 Celsius for 5 Days:
Laricifomes Officinalis
On malt + yeast agar
Inoculated with a piece of agar with live mycelium.
Incubated @ 25 Celsius for 5 Days:
This species grows a pink colour outwards from the centre behind the first, fastest growing, white mycelium.
Ganoderma Lucidum
On malt + yeast agar
Inoculated with a piece of agar with live mycelium.
Incubated @ 25 Celsius for 5 Days:
Phallus Ipidicus
On malt + yeast agar
Inoculated with a piece of agar with live mycelium.
Incubated @ 25 Celsius for 5 Days:
Growth proceeds slowly with this species. Some bacterial contamination was present in all samples. This is what I suspect as the cause of the slow growth. One of the three samples was able to overcome the bacteria and continue growth. I will try to get a clean piece of this sample and transfer it to new agar to observe. The live culture was supplied on a blue agar which has spread its colour into the originally yellow MYA.
Psilocybe Ovoideocystidiata
On malt + yeast agar
Inoculated with a piece of agar with live mycelium.
Incubated @ 25 Celsius for 5 Days:
